NALA’s Distance Education Service aims to ensure people with literacy and numeracy difficulties can fully take part in society and have access to learning opportunities that meet their needs. To meet this goal NALA has commissioned an evaluation of the TV series ‘Written Off’ designed to motivate adults to return to education. For more information go to www.writtenoff.ie
The primary aim of the evaluation is to see if NALA’s Distance Education Service is providing learners with a service that meets their needs. This evaluation will examine two main elements. The first is the relevance and effectiveness of the distance education service as a support and tool to adult learners with literacy difficulties. The second is provide NALA with evidence based data to shape and inform how their Distance Education Services will be developed going forward. The evaluation is being carried out by outside consultants Exodea Europe and is due to be completed by early 2009.
