We are delighted to invite you to our 'Literacy and Wellbeing' seminar on Friday 5 May in Dublin.
Tutors face many challenges when they are working with adults who have been referred to their education service. Often these adults can be reluctant to participate, may lack motivation to learn, or be resistant to learning. Indeed, many adults have literacy and numeracy needs on top of complex psychosocial needs.
The aim of our seminar is provide tutors with new ideas, resources and methods to support adults who are referred to their education service. There will be a range of speakers including:
- Niall Moya, DCU Professor, School of Health and Human Performance;
- Anne Cleary, UCD Lecturer, School of Sociology; and
- Caroline Martin, Principal Psychologist, CDETB.
It's all happening in The Clock Tower, Marlborough Street, Dublin 1 from 9.30 am to 1pm.
This free seminar is being organised by NALA, ETBI and AONTAS as part of the European Agenda for Adult Learning (EAAL) initiative.
