Technology webinar: Using technology in adult basic skills education

Tuesday 7 November from 1.10 to 1.40pm.

What is this webinar about?
This webinar will outline Bray Adult Learning Centre's experience of using technology to create learning activities for basic skills development (literacy, numeracy and English language). A range of activities developed in the Centre using Quizlet, Bitsboard, SmartNotebook, Edmodo, Scratch, Edpuzzle and iMovie will be shown. Some of these technology tools were first introduced to the Centre via the IDEAL Erasmus+ project. There will be a 20 minute presentation on this subject, followed by 10 minutes of questions and answers.

Facilitators: Niamh Maguire, Adult Literacy Organiser and Kathie Orr, Adult Literacy Tutor, Kildare and Wicklow ETB - Bray Adult Learning Centre.

You can take part by registering below by Monday 6 November. We will send you a link for the webinar a few days before the event. You’ll need a computer or laptop, plus speakers (or headphones if you are in a shared office) and an internet connection. And if you’d like to join in the question and answer session, you’ll need headphones with a microphone.

If you can’t join us live on November 7, the webinar will be on the NALA Ireland YouTube channel here.
