Impact and Implementation of Family Literacy Programmes: Review and Recommendations

This review examines existing studies and policy statements regarding the contribution that family literacy programmes can make to the literacy skills of children and adults. It also examines the broader effects in the family and school context. The review is especially concerned with policies and how such programmes can be devised and introduced.
