EBSN Professional Development Series

NALA is a partner in the Erasmus+ European Basic Skills Network (EBSN) Professional Development Series project which spans from 2021 to 2024.

The primary objective of the project is to design, test and implement Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Courses for adult literacy practitioners across Europe.

Between February and June 2023, NALA hosted six pilot professional development courses on its online learning platform, Learn with NALA as part of the project.

  1. Basic Literacy
  2. Diversity and Interculturalism
  3. Empowering Adult Learners of Basic Skills
  4. Approaching Digital Teaching and Learning
  5. Facilitating the Learning Process
  6. Digital Competence

Each of the project partners played a leading role in developing one of these courses, and NALA collaborated with South East Technological University (SETU) to create the Empowering Adult Learners of Basic Skills course.

The second aim of the project is to develop Open Educational Resources (OERs) which are resource documents designed to accompany the CPD courses. These resources are designed to complement the learning experience.
You can view the Open Educational Resources on our project website.
