In Ireland, one in six adults has unmet literacy needs. This has a devastating impact on individuals, families and communities. With your help, we can change this.

There is strength in numbers and already our 1,900 members have helped us increase public understanding of literacy, numeracy and digital literacy needs and to promote these as human rights.

All we ask of members is that they read our e-zine, share what they learn with friends and family and give us feedback on our work. With your support we believe everyone can have the literacy skills to succeed in life.

We have four types of membership with different benefits.

Individuals can join for free, or for €25.

Small organisation membership is for organisations that work at local level (Adult Literacy Centres, Youthreach, National Learning Network local centres and City libraries).

Large organisation membership is for organisations that work at a county, regional or national level (Education and Training Boards, County libraries, larger non-profit organisations and corporate members).
