Research report launch – Financial literacy in Ireland

Financial Literacy report event page

The National Adult Literacy Agency (NALA) is delighted to be joined by Mairéad McGuinness, European Commissioner for Financial Services, Financial Stability and Capital Markets Union, for the launch of our new research report, ‘Financial literacy in Ireland’.

Commissioned by NALA and completed by TASC (Think Tank for Action on Social Change), this report aims to contribute to the development of more literacy-friendly financial services for adults with financial literacy, numeracy and digital literacy needs.

This report consolidates existing research on financial literacy in the Irish context and highlights the lived experiences of people with unmet financial literacy, numeracy and digital literacy needs and the challenges that they face when managing and accessing finance and financial services. The report will be presented by Dr Sara Singleton, Senior Researcher and Social Inclusion Stream Lead at TASC.
