Since late 2020, NALA  has been working on the Adult Basic Education Digital Literacy Project (ABEDiLi). The project supports Adult Basic Skills educators with extending the use of digital tools in their work.  

We are now delighted to invite you to our ABEDiLi Digital Literacy Event, where we will be showcasing our project resources and discussing how you can include digital resources in your literacy practices. So, save the date and register your place using the link below.

Morning Talks

10.00am – Welcome, opening remarks and introduction to ABEDiLi

10.10am – One Step at a Time… Building a scaffold for Digital Literacy

10.30am – Using Microsoft Teams at the centre of your teaching practice

11.15am – Introduction to the ABEDiLi Train the Trainer Digital Literacy resource for Adult Literacy Educators

Digital Literacy Workshops

– Workshop 1: 11.30 – 12.00 and workshop 2: 12.00 – 12.30

– Participants must attend 2 different workshops. Each workshop will be run twice (One workshop at 11.30am and one workshop at 12.00pm)

Note: Participants must bring a device (mobile phone, laptop or iPad) for the workshops

 

Workshop 1: Four ways to use Padlet for inspiration and creation in your classroom

Workshop 2: Canva for beginners – the basics of using Canva to create images and presentations for teaching
